Chart Navigator Pro is compatible with a wide variety of chart and map formats. The most common include NOAA S-57 Digital Nautical Charts, Maptech BSB charts (including version 4 and version 5 charts), older Maptech PCX charts, generic maps as GeoTIFF, Maptech OPH navigation photos, Maptech 3DC underwater Contour charts, and SoftChart's NOS/GEO charts.

Chart Navigator Pro uses GRIB files for displaying weather formats. These are acquired automatically via the Internet connection.

Chart Navigator Pro is currently not able to display C-Map, Navionics, Passport/Transys, BlueCharts, or ARCS charts. It can not display S-63 "Encrypted" S-57 charts often found in non-US waters.
