Displaying Coast Pilot Pages
The CAPN is equipped to display Coast Pilot pages included on Maptech BSB format chart CDs. Unfortunately, due to an oversight in their production, these Coast Pilot pages were omitted from the CAPN U.S. DVD set now included with The CAPN. These downloads can be used to add Coast Pilot pages to The CAPN for your area of interest. Once installed, to display a Coast Pilot page, right click on the chart, and choose 'Goto', 'Coast Pilot Page.' The corresponding page for the chart you are viewing will be displayed.

Chart Regions
In order to access these pages easily, they have been broken into the following regions. Download the region (or regions) of your area of interest and they will be available in The CAPN.
Region 2 - Block Island, RI to the Canadian Border
Region 3 - New York to Nantucket and Cape May, New Jersey
Region 4 - Chesapeake and Delaware Bays
Region 6 - Norfolk, VA to Florida - The Intracoastal Waterway
Region 7 - Florida East Coast and the Keys
Region 8 - Florida West Coast and the Keys
Region 10 - Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands
Region 12 - Southern California - Point Arena to Mexican Border
Region 13 - Lake Michigan
Region 14 - San Francisco to Cape Flattery
Region 15 - Pacific NorthWest
Region 17 - Mobile, AL to Mexican Border
Region 22 - Lake Superior and Lake Huron (US Waters)
Region 24 - Lake Erie (US Waters)
Region 26 - Lake Ontario (US Waters)
Region 30 - Southeast Alaska
Region 32 - South Central Alaska
Region 34 - Alaska - The Aleutians and Bristol Bay
Region 36 - Alaska - Norton Sound to Beaufort Sea
Region 40 - Hawaiian Islands

How To Install
Click the link below. In most instances, your web browser will ask if the file should be Opened, or Saved to your computer. Choose Save, then select a location to Save the downloaded file In. If you are unfamiliar with downloading and applying software patches, we recommend choosing your "Desktop"; select Save In, Desktop and press Save. Once the download completes, double-click the downloaded application that appears on your Desktop. This will install your CAPN update. Once that process is completed, you may run The CAPN and delete the download from your Desktop.

Notes:
Tide and Currents documents (containing the tables, not the dynamic graphs) as well as the Coast Pilot pages and Light Lists are in a ".hlp" format that has been discontinued by Microsoft. Click here for a download to add .hlp compatibility to Microsoft Windows Vista.
