Hello,

In a very old posting on this forum I found a link to the Geotiff specification at http://remotesensing.org/geotiff/geotiff.html. The listgeo utility at that site has difficulty in interpreting some of the tags used in the tiff produced by mtcopy. It is unable to produce a tfw file from the tiff, complaining of unknown fields with tags 33432 and 34968. I recognize that the free arcmap plugin will help the esri users, but some of us would like to use other products. The tfw file could be used to create the registration files.

Are there any other alternatives?

MTCopy, etc.

While we had hoped to do additional work to MTCopy so that it supported more variants on the GeoTIFF spec, resources have not allowed this. In the event that there is sufficient demand, we may consider additional work to that application; however, as you point out, we now have the ArcGIS plugins available.
