What can be done to close a track to assist in computing the area when your track does not close?
Is it possible to start at the direct end of the track and draw or have drawn by the Terrain Navigator a line to the start?

Terrain Navigator Pro, or...
(msg #n/a: Posted Dec 10, 2003 4:59 PM)

Forcing a track as 'Closed' is a feature of Terrain Navigator Pro, and unfortunately not in the standard Terrain Navigator.

However, I have noticed that you will have better luck closing a track by not trying to actually connect the beginning to the end. Instead, come "reasonably close" (within a 1/4 of an inch on the screen) and the area calculation should work reliably. When you try to connect the end to the begining, they may "overlap" for just a small amount, but causes Terrain Navigator not to be able to properly figure out the area.

Sincerely,
