I have just started using Offshore Navigator and am enjoying it. I am having problems in finding the tide and current tables for my area. I was wondering if there is a way to get a list similar to the hard copies put out annualy.

Dave, what region are you trying to see the tides in?

Dave, there are a couple of options for updating the tides for this region:

1) we have a Tide update CD for $25 that will extend them through the end of 2005
2) you could purchase Region 12 (SF to SD) for ½ price ($125). This will update all the charts and extend the tides through 2005. (Note that we don’t offer the smaller regions any more.)

To do either, please call 888-839-5551.

It was my impression that purchasing the tide tables recently covered 2004 + 2005. However, in the last few minutes I started ON and immediately got a notification that the Tide and Current tables werent valid for 2005.

How can I recover the Tide Tables!

PS. Im running 5.04 and upgrading to 5.05 at the moment. If this recitfies the problem Ill let you know.

Hi Dave,
It all depends on when you purchased the tide update cd and what version it is. Please call me at (978)792-1038 to figure out what you have and what you need. Thanks, Erika

I am just updated to OSN 5.06 and two years ago purchased tide and current tables for 2003-2004. Has the policy changed to include only one year of update. I thought I could update my Tide and Current tables for years 2005 and 2006.

I Purchased BACD01 late last summer to update an older I am very dissapointed that I have now lost this functionality so soon in less than a year after purchase.

My other comments are that this version is extremely slow compared to the previous disc
in its refresh rate is this normal?

The intent is to have two years, so your summer of 2004 purchase should also have data through 2005. Depending on what version you have, it may contain data for 2003 and 2004. We would give you an update in this case as your CD should have had 2005 (instead of 2003).
We also found an issue with OSN (and OSN Lite) 5.06 which raised some tide questions. If you had 2005 data, and it has recently gone, you will be able to see it with OSN 5.07. This update is due in the next few weeks.
Thanks for your patience.

hi tim
Thanks for that info, the disc I purchased has edition4.1on it and is registered with you, I will wait for OSN 5.07, as I have already loaded 5.06.
If I reset the dates on my computer I can see the tide data up to December 31st 2004.
Assuming I need a tides update to give me the 2 years How do I get it? My Chandler has closed down. Also can you explain why the refresh rate with BACD 01is so slow?
Can I switch off the tide data to increase the refresh rate.

Hi Paul,
If your chandler is closed, please contact our partner in the UK. www.maptech-marine.co.uk . Yes you can turn off the overlays to increase re-draw speed. From the pull-down menu select View, Options, Overlays and on the right side change the Tides/Currents display to --none--.
