I wish to connect the Wether Channel Live Marine module to SeaRay Navigator (boat being built). Possible to connect module to open serial port and upload (CDROM)win98 software for Live Marine?
Thank you.

At this time, we work directly with 3rd party developers to ensure compatibility with the Sea Ray Navigator system. While the Sea Ray Navigator is a PC, it does not run Windows in a traditional sense, and as such, applications and other hardware devices can not be added into the system.

That having been said, we will be working on adding a Weather Channel Live option to Sea Ray Navigator, so please stay tuned.

Does the situation mean:

1) I should cancel my SeaRay Navigator installation until you have an integrated platform? or
2) My SeaRay Navigator system can be upgraded "in the field" with software.

Thank you.

James.

No, I wouldn't recommend canceling your Sea Ray Navigator order. We do offer "in the field" software and hardware updates. For example, existing Sea Ray Navigator customers can now purchase the "SkyMate Communications" option, which includes email, fax, and weather capabilities.
