Hi Lew,

We can offer you free Rater charts that contain this Lake.
It will be in the BSB3 format (BSB/kap) and should be able to be read by SeaClear
(*according to their website).

go to www.freeboatingcharts.com
You will need to register an create a registration account with us, if you do not already have one, in order to use this service.

In the upper right corner, click ADVANCED SEARCH.
In the next window, Enter "LAKE MURRAY" for place name, "South Carolina" for State.
Click Search.
A list of 10 names will come up that contain the name Lake Murray.
Click any one, they will all point you to the same two nautical charts.
Click "Select All", then "Download Selected Charts".

You will be taken to a screen with a 6 digit ID order number.
Make note of this number please.

Give it about 10 minutes or so, then go back to www.freeboatingcharts.com.
Now, in the upper right, choose "Check Status"
Enter your email address and the 6 digit order ID number that was given to you.

You will see a listing for "Charts ready for download - Yes"
Click Get charts now.

Choose to SAVE the file to your desktop.

When done saving, double click the executable now on your desktop.
Follow the on screen prompts, then choose the folder where yopur SeaClear program keeps its charts, then click install.

When you open your software again, they should be available.

those charts don't have lake murray on them.

Hi Nora,

I have gone back and checked what I had told Lew earlier.
Not sure why, but I am getting the same results as you now.
Only 2 charts come up when you search for lat & long or by place name, neither of them (the charts) are good for that location.

Now going back and looking through everything, I am unable to find any nautical charts for SC interior. My only suggestion at this point is to look into Terrain Navigator or Terrain Navigator Pro for South Carolina.

There are USGS topographic maps for Lake Murray.

Feel free to use the Online MapServer to preview these.

Search as described above, Lake Murray (for place name) and SC (for state).

Terrain Navigator and Terrain Navigator Pro can be looked into ordered or by clicking on these links.
