I installed the 5.08 update over my previously working version (from CD, version not at hand) and now ONL fails to follow vessel, data window shows 0's, etc. I can upload and download waypoints fine and Help->View GPS Data shows the data stream from the GPS correctly. Do I need to fall back to the old version to get this to work again?

Hi Eric,

It sounds like some settings might just need to be reset. Go to Vessel/GPS, then Setup... then GPS, and make sure the manufacturer is listed as NMEA Generic, with the correct COM port listed, then click the Port Settings tab and make sure it is set to 4800 Baud. Then click the GPS On box. Click OK, then click Vessel/GPS again and make sure Position from GPS is checked.

Let me know if you are still having problems connecting after that.
