I have a customer that migrated to a new laptop. He was running Capn Voyager Ver. 5.3.37 on XP and now has Vista. He cannot get the software to find the GPS. What are his options

Though we do not support any version of the Capn earlier than version 7.5, see this technical document on GPS setup: http://www.maptech.com/support/doc.cfm?docid=609&plid=77

You need to run it as Administrator. I have a later version and still had some problems with the GPS but running it as administrator took care of the problem.
