Brand new Companion CD for the chartkit I just purchased from West Marine (approx. 5 miles from Maptech's HQ). I obtained the installation ID and Activation Code from the website, because the install kept giving me "invalid product i.d." message, without any further information.
Whether I try to do an internet-connected or disconnected install, I get the same message "invalid product i.d.". No option for obtaining help or further clarification. Great initial experience with this product.
Heather showed me the e-mail string back and forth between you and her and Michael. The ID that Michael gave you worked. The one that Heather provided was the same format, for the same region and edition, so should have worked also.
Was there ever a solution to this? I bought the Cape Cod to Cape Ann Chartbook from West Marine in Peabody last weekend, and I am also unable to install it for the same reason (Invalid Product ID). I've already sent an e-mail to MapTech Support concerning this issue, but I figured if I replied to this I might get an answer faster.
Thanks for the reply. No, nobody has responded to me by email. I;ve sent two emails now, the last being two weeks ago. I thought the ID CCE-121-2HN was strange because I also bought the charts from Cape Ann to Portland Maine. This has a product ID starting with CCE-230, and that installed ok. How should I get the correct ID? Should I call the support number?
Same problem here. My Product ID started with CCE-121-2HN... which gave me the invalid Product ID message. I tried CCD-240-2HN... but still got the invalid message. I purchased the Cape Cod to Cape Ann Waterproof Chartbook and Companion CD Region 240 Edition 2 at West Marine in Dedham MA.
