I picked up my copy of CN Pro towards the end of Dec 2007. I finally got to install it in the last couple of weeks. Much to my dismay I see before even gettting to use it there is already a $99.95 chart update. What are the chances my Dec 07 purchase included those updates?

Hi Ken,

2007 Chart Navigator Pro chart DVDs were Edition 1.2.

2008 Chart Navigator Pro chart DVDs are Edition 1.3.

all my DVD's say 1.2.... Am I going to have to pay the 99.95 to update to the newer ones?

In order to get the updated Marine Facilities and updated Aerial photos, yes this chart update would need to be purchased.

If you are looking for strictly Raster and Vector chart updates, please feel free to visit our freeboatingcharts website (US Raster charts only) or NOAA's website (US Raster and Vector charts.) they can be downloaded for free from there.

Also, in the Chart Navigator Pro software, clicking on the Tools menu, and choosing Download Charts will take you to NOAA's chart download site.

If I had waited another 6 days to purchase would I have been elegible for the update? I recieved this on the 12/25/07 and never installed it until about 2 weeks ago. Hardly seems fair for a $499.00 program. Am I missing something or is Maptech's upgrade policy that tight?
