You can adjust the settings of the radar to line up items properly
The target alignment can be improved through the use of the heading and trigger delay controls.
The heading control is used when the targets do not appear at the proper angle on the screen due to faulty unit mounting (sensor is not pointing directly off the front of the vessel).
The trigger delay control is used to adjust for faulty distance alignment. For instance, if a target representing a bridge appears closer to you than it should, adjust the trigger delay until it is at the correct distance.
The heading and trigger delay controls would just need one time adjustment.
